BodyShape III: EMT muscle stimulation in detail

The BodyShape III produces muscle contractions that cannot be achieved through exercise. The principle of EMT, how a course of treatment unfolds and what to check before starting.

The principle

A 1.9 Tesla magnetic field, pulsed at 150 Hz in 260-microsecond pulses, induces a current in the muscle. This current triggers supramaximal contractions, stronger than those of voluntary effort, up to 20,000 per session.

Why the muscle gets stronger

These intense contractions impose a workload on the muscle that it never experiences in training. It responds by increasing protein synthesis, and therefore its mass and tone.

The effect on fat

To supply the energy required, the body releases fatty acids from its fat stores. This indirect lipolysis contributes to slimming the area, in addition to toning.

How a course of treatment unfolds

After an initial assessment (waist measurement, photos), the applicators are positioned and strapped onto the chosen areas. Sessions are held a few days apart. Your client feels contractions of gradually increasing intensity, without any effort on her part; mild muscle soreness may appear over the following days.

Contraindications

Pacemakers, neurostimulators and metal implants in the area are contraindications. Epilepsy, pregnancy and any current medical condition require medical advice. Check for them systematically during the consultation.
