EMT, electromagnetic muscle stimulation
A focused electromagnetic field triggers intense, involuntary muscle contractions to tone the figure and reduce localised fat without effort.
Why focus on the muscle
Most non-invasive slimming techniques (cryolipolysis, radiofrequency, ultrasound) target only fatty tissue. Yet muscle accounts for more of the figure than subcutaneous fat, and its tone shapes the body's contours.
The technology
EMT is based on a high-intensity focused electromagnetic field that activates motor neurons and triggers concentric contractions. Not to be confused with EMS, which stimulates the muscle with an electrical current applied to the skin.
A dual mode of action
First, a mechanical effect: so-called supramaximal contractions, impossible to achieve through voluntary training, which force the muscle to get stronger. Second, an effect on fat: these contractions require a lot of energy, drawn from fat reserves, and energy expenditure remains high after the session.
Which clients is it for?
Women and men who want to tone and sculpt one or more areas, with no age limit, as well as athletes who want to complement their training.
Areas treated
Abdomen, arms (biceps and triceps), legs (thighs, calves) and buttocks. Two applicators make it possible to treat two areas at the same time.
How a session unfolds
The client lies down, you secure the two applicators with a strap, then set the duration (30 minutes per area) and intensity in automatic or manual mode. She feels slight tingling and contractions, as during intensive core training, and tells you how it feels so you can adjust the intensity.
Number of sessions and results
6 to 8 sessions per area are recommended. Some people see an effect from the very first session, but the full result is seen after 2 to 4 weeks: more toned muscles, reduced localised fat, a reshaped figure.
Is it painful?
No. The sensation is similar to a targeted workout, sometimes with muscle soreness the next day.

Contraindications
