755 nm wavelength (Alexandrite)
755 nm is very well absorbed by melanin: it is the wavelength of choice for fair skin and fine hair. Its key characteristics at a glance.
Definition
755 nm corresponds to the Alexandrite laser. At this wavelength, melanin strongly absorbs the light, making it an effective wavelength for hair removal on fair skin.
Who is it for?
It is indicated for fair skin types (I to III) and fine to medium hair, including lighter hair. On dark skin, strong absorption by the epidermis increases the risk of burns and pigmentation marks: 808, 940 or 1064 nm is preferred.
Comfort and safety
Contact cooling, for example with sapphire, is strongly recommended. Red or very light blonde hair remains difficult to treat.
