940 nm wavelength (advanced diode)
940 nm complements 808 nm to reach thick, deep-rooted hair. Its key characteristics at a glance.
Definition
940 nm is an infrared wavelength emitted by a diode, less widespread than 808 nm. It penetrates slightly deeper into the skin.
For which hair?
It is mainly indicated for thick, dark, deep-rooted hair. Less absorbed by melanin than 808 nm, it remains usable on olive skin, with cautious settings on very dark skin types.
In practice
The number of sessions is comparable to 808 nm. Like 808 nm, it operates without refrigerant gas.
In Neocure devices
The EpilPro MAX includes 940 nm, presented as the wavelength for thick, dark, deep-rooted hair.
