Muscle building and non-invasive toning
EMT toning makes it possible to strengthen a muscle without voluntary effort. Which areas to treat, for which client profiles and with what limits.
What are we talking about?
Non-invasive toning relies on EMT: very intense muscle contractions, induced by an electromagnetic field, strengthen the muscle. The aim is a firmer, more defined muscle, often combined with slimming of the area.
The areas that respond best
Abdominals, glutes, thighs and arms are the most commonly treated areas. The lower back can also be worked, with an effect on posture. Small muscles and very deep muscles are poorly suited to these applicators.
Defined abs?
The muscle gets stronger, but it only becomes visible if the layer of fat covering it is thin. For a client with excess fat on the stomach, a technique that acts on fat is often added.
Client profiles
Sedentary people who want to regain tone, sportswomen looking for an additional stimulus, women after pregnancy who want a firmer stomach. For anyone with a health problem or over 65, medical advice is recommended.
Maintaining results
Gains are maintained with a stable weight and regular physical activity, even moderate. EMT develops neither endurance nor coordination: it complements physical activity without replacing it.
