UltraLift III: facial HIFU in detail
The UltraLift III is a three-head HIFU device for firming the face and neck. How it works, how a session runs and the safety rules.
The device
The UltraLift III focuses ultrasound at 1.5, 3 and 4.5 mm below the surface using three interchangeable heads. It is intended for skin firming and lifting of the face and neck; it is not intended to reduce or destroy fatty tissue.
What each head does
1.5 mm: texture and fine lines. 3 mm: dermal firmness and wrinkles. 4.5 mm: the SMAS, for the jawline, jowls and neck. A complete protocol can combine all three on the same area, or be limited to the useful depths as needed.
The software
Three modes (Light, Normal, Strong) automatically adjust the number of shots and the power according to the area and the protocol; an Expert mode lets you set the parameters yourself. Shots are triggered from the handpiece or the foot pedal.
How a session runs
Make-up removal and cleansing, before photos, marking out the areas, contact gel, then passes with each head according to the protocol. The session ends with removal of the gel, a soothing treatment and sun protection. Allow 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area.
After the session
Redness and slight swelling are common and temporary. The effect builds up over several months; a maintenance session prolongs the result. Sessions are always repeated several weeks apart, to allow the skin to heal and avoid the biphasic effect.
Precautions
Strict adherence to protocols, caution on areas of thin skin and near the eyes, a preliminary test for a client who has never had HIFU. Pregnancy, active infection on the area and implants in the treated area are contraindications.
